A battery is only as reliable as its weakest cell and its least-disciplined process step. That's why TURSAN doesn't rely on a single end-of-line check. We control quality at three gates — rejecting bad material before it enters the line, catching process drift the moment it appears, and verifying every finished unit before it ships.

The result is a system where most defects are designed out or screened out long before final inspection — and where every unit that leaves the factory carries a complete, traceable test history.

Seven Checkpoints, One Pass-Through Standard

Every product — regardless of category — passes the same backbone of quality checkpoints from raw material to the loading dock. A unit only advances when the previous gate signs off.

IQC Gate

Incoming Material Inspection

Cells, BMS boards, inverters, enclosures, wiring harnesses and connectors are inspected on arrival. Supplier certificates (CoC, MSDS, test reports) are reviewed; non-conforming batches are quarantined and returned at the source.

Cell Grading & Matching

Every cell is graded on capacity, internal resistance and open-circuit voltage. Only cells with closely matched profiles are grouped into a pack — capacity variance is held to under 2% to ensure even balancing and full pack life.

IPQC Gate

Welding & Assembly Inspection

Laser welds are 100% vision-inspected for cold joints and penetration. Torque-controlled fastening, glue dispensing and module assembly are checked against work instructions with first-piece and hourly sampling.

BMS Programming & Protection Test

Each BMS is flashed with the correct firmware and verified for communication protocol, cell balancing, and the full protection suite — over-voltage, under-voltage, over-current and short-circuit response.

Electrical Safety & Insulation Test

Hipot (dielectric withstand) and insulation resistance testing confirm high-voltage isolation and the absence of leakage paths — a mandatory gate before a pack can move to burn-in.

IPQC + OQC

Aging & Burn-In Test

100% of finished packs run 48–72 hour burn-in cycles under load. Temperature, voltage and current are logged every second; any unit showing abnormal behavior, capacity shortfall or balancing drift is pulled for engineering review.

The QC backbone is shared — but a portable power station, a home storage system and a mobile EV charging battery face very different real-world stresses. Each line runs its own dedicated test program on top of the standard gates.

Portable Power Station QC

Portable units are carried, dropped, charged in the field and connected to a wide mix of devices. QC here focuses on multi-port output integrity, solar input behavior, transport survivability and the user-facing interface — the things that fail a customer if they slip through.

Every Serial Number Has a Full History

QC results only matter if they can be traced and retrieved. Every TURSAN unit is logged through our MES (Manufacturing Execution System) — from the cell batch it was built with to the burn-in curve it produced and the OQC engineer who signed it off.

Cell-Batch to Serial Linkage

Each finished unit is linked to its cell batch, BMS firmware version and production line — full upstream traceability.

Logged Test Data

Burn-in curves, capacity results and protection-test outcomes stored per serial number, retained for 5 years.

Inspector Sign-Off Records

IPQC and OQC checkpoints record the responsible inspector — accountability at every gate.

Shipment Document Pack

Defect Management & Continuous Improvement

When Something Fails, We Close the Loop

No process is perfect — what matters is what happens next. Every non-conformance triggers a structured corrective-action cycle so the same issue doesn't reach a second unit, let alone a customer.

Detect & Contain

The non-conforming unit or batch is quarantined immediately and isolated from good stock to prevent any escape.

Root-Cause Analysis

Engineering investigates the true cause — material, process, design or handling — rather than treating the symptom.

Corrective Action

A permanent fix is implemented — work-instruction update, supplier feedback, fixture change or design revision.

04

Verify & Standardize

The fix is verified on subsequent production and folded back into the QC standard so the improvement sticks.

For OEM / ODM Partners — Quality Is a Shared Process

Partners receive batch QC reports, can specify additional test items, and are welcome to appoint third-party inspectors (SGS, Bureau Veritas, Intertek) or run their own pre-shipment audit. Our quality records are open to the partners who rely on them.
