Most homeowners don't want just solar self-consumption, or just backup, or just TOU arbitrage — they want all of them at once. Hybrid systems put solar generation, grid interaction and battery dispatch on one platform.
A hybrid system manages energy bidirectionally across four nodes — PV, grid, battery and home loads. The hybrid inverter decides the priority every second based on the operating mode you've configured.
PV Array
Generates DC power via MPPT. Priority source when sun is available.
Public Grid
Supplies extra load, accepts solar export (where allowed), charges battery off-peak.
LiFePO4 Battery
Charges from PV or grid, discharges to loads. Reserve held for outage backup.
Home Loads
Critical loads, daily appliances, HVAC — drawing from the best-priced source.
A single hybrid system runs five distinct operating modes — sometimes one at a time, sometimes in combination depending on time-of-day, tariff and grid availability.
A hybrid system isn't a battery plus an inverter plus a charge controller — it's a single intelligent unit that decides, in real time, which source feeds which load and when the battery should charge or discharge.
CAN / RS485 protocol · 5kW – 12kW power
Unlike a string inverter (PV → grid only) or an off-grid inverter (battery → loads only), a hybrid inverter actively orchestrates four nodes. The features below are what separate a "true" hybrid from a stitched-together system.
Hybrid systems flex to the situation — new PV install, existing PV retrofit, weak-grid stabilization or backup-priority deployment. Each gets a slightly different inverter + battery configuration.
