R&D Focus Areas

Focused R&D for Safer, Smarter Energy Storage

Our engineering work concentrates on four disciplines — the areas where real product differences are made between a reliable energy system and one that's merely assembled.

01

Battery Pack Engineering

Custom battery pack architecture based on voltage, capacity, discharge rate, cycle life and thermal performance — built around the specific application, not a one-size-fits-all template.

02

BMS Development

Intelligent BMS design for real-time cell monitoring, balancing logic, multi-layer protection and stable communication — the brain that turns cells into a safe long-life pack.

03

Inverter & Power Electronics

Integrated inverter and power electronics design for pure sine wave AC output, stable DC regulation, solar input compatibility and fast-recharge performance.

04

Structure & Thermal Design

Mechanical design, housing optimization, heat dissipation path and ingress-protected enclosure engineering — for outdoor durability and home-installation safety alike.

Engineering Capabilities

Engineering Behind Every Product

Six engineering disciplines work in parallel on every TURSAN product — from circuit topology to enclosure tolerance, from BMS protocol to OEM packaging. A complete in-house team means specifications can change without breaking the project timeline.

Electrical Design

Battery system architecture, circuit protection, inverter matching and AC / DC output design.

Mechanical Design

Housing structure, internal layout, thermal path, waterproof and dustproof engineering.

BMS Configuration

Cell monitoring, protection strategy, charge / discharge control and communication protocols.

Solar Charging Design

MPPT input matching, panel compatibility and off-grid charging optimization.

Safety Engineering

Protection logic, insulation design, thermal control and fault-prevention strategy.

OEM/ODM Development

Custom appearance, branding, capacity, output ports, plug standards and packaging design.

OEM / ODM Development Process

From Idea to Mass Production

A structured six-stage development path — clear deliverables, clear sign-offs, clear timeline. Whether you arrive with a finished spec or a market opportunity, the same disciplined process applies.

01

Step 01

Requirement Analysis

Target market, application scenario, voltage / capacity / power requirements, certifications, packaging and budget are mapped out together with the client.

02

Step 02

Technical Proposal

Battery system design, BMS solution, inverter matching, structural concept and a complete BOM are delivered as a written proposal for review.

03

Step 03

Prototype Development

Sample units are built for functional testing, performance verification and side-by-side evaluation against the client's reference and competitors.

04

Step 04

Safety & Reliability Testing

Electrical, thermal, aging, charge / discharge and BMS protection tests are run against the agreed spec, with documented pass / fail results.

05

Step 05

Certification Support

UN38.3, MSDS, CE, FCC, UL, IEC and RoHS documentation is prepared in parallel — shortening the path between approval and first shipment.

06

Step 06

Mass Production

Approved prototype moves to stable production with QC sign-off at every stage, scheduled lead time and ongoing delivery support.

Testing & Validation

Tested for Safety, Reliability and Real-World Use

R&D testing happens before any product reaches mass production — the goal is to surface failure modes in the lab, not in the field. Every prototype runs through this validation regime before it's approved for production tooling.

Charge & Discharge Test

Verifies usable capacity, output stability, charging efficiency and discharge curves under the full operating range — including high-load and partial-state cycling.

Aging Test

Simulates long-term operation to confirm capacity retention, balancing behavior and connector wear before the design is locked for production.

High / Low Temperature Test

Validates performance under hot and cold environmental extremes — for outdoor portable, home installation and vehicle-mounted use cases.

BMS Protection Test

Confirms overcurrent, overvoltage, undervoltage, overload, short-circuit and over-temperature protection actually trips at the designed thresholds.

Solar Charging Test

MPPT input performance and compatibility verified across different solar panel configurations and lighting conditions — including partial shading.

Vibration & Transport Test

Multi-axis vibration and drop simulation for transport survivability — protecting the customer's first impression of the product when it lands.

R&D by Application

Core Technologies

The Technology That Improves Product Performance

Six core technologies are the foundation of every TURSAN energy product — and the reason our partners' end customers come back to the same brand for their next purchase.

LiFePO4 Battery Technology

High safety, long cycle life, stable performance and superior thermal stability — the chemistry of choice for energy storage that has to last.

Intelligent BMS Protection

Real-time monitoring with overcurrent, over-discharge, high / low temperature, overload, short-circuit and cell-balancing protection.

Pure Sine Wave Output

Stable, low-distortion AC output suitable for sensitive electronics, medical equipment, induction cookers and modern home appliances.

Fast AC Charging

Optimized AC charging design to reduce downtime — supporting next-day readiness for daily-use commercial and residential scenarios.

MPPT Solar Charging

Maximum power point tracking algorithm that delivers higher solar energy conversion efficiency — critical for off-grid and hybrid applications.

Modular System Design

Flexible capacity, power level, interface and appearance customization — the foundation of fast OEM/ODM iteration without redesign.

R&D Team

Experienced Engineers for Battery & Energy Storage Development

Our R&D team covers the full discipline span needed for a complete energy product:
battery system design, BMS firmware development, inverter integration, mechanical structure, thermal management, test engineering and production launch.

That single-roof structure is the reason TURSAN can take a client from a market concept to certified mass production without handing the project off between disconnected vendors — and why specification changes in the middle of a project don't break the timeline.

Pre-Integrated Certification Path — Built Into Every Project

UN38.3, MSDS, UL, CE, FCC, IEC, RoHS and related test reports are prepared in parallel with product development — so when the prototype is approved, the certification package is already moving. Custom regional certifications (PSE, BIS, AS/NZS, KC) are supported on request for OEM orders.

R&D and Customization FAQ

Common Buyer Questions

The questions we hear most often from brand owners, distributors and project clients when scoping a new energy product project.

Can TURSAN develop customized battery products for my brand?

Yes — full OEM and ODM customization is the core of what we do. We support custom capacity, rated power, housing design, branded logo, output port configuration, regional plug standards, packaging and user manual. MOQ depends on the product line but typically starts at 50–100 units for portable power and lower for residential / project orders.

Yes. We develop product versions for regional socket standards (US, EU, UK, AU, JP and others) and the corresponding voltage / frequency combinations. The same goes for charging plug variants and regional regulatory labelling.

Yes — prototyping is a defined step in our development process. Sample units are built for functional testing, performance verification and side-by-side evaluation against the client's reference. Only after written prototype sign-off does production tooling start. Typical sample lead time is 10–15 days after spec lock.

Yes. Our standard certification path covers UN38.3, MSDS, CE, FCC, UL, IEC and RoHS, prepared in parallel with product development. Custom regional certifications such as PSE (Japan), BIS (India), AS/NZS (Australia / New Zealand) and KC (Korea) are supported on request for OEM orders.

To produce a useful technical proposal, please share: application scenario, target market / country, required capacity and rated power, charging method, output ports needed, certification requirements, appearance preferences, branding details and estimated order quantity. The OEM/ODM Customization Form in the Downloads section captures all of these in one place.
